Canvas Enhancement Classes
Our always popular and usually sold out Canvas Enchancement classes will continue with classes being held 4 times each month. This class is designed to get you back on track with a project or jump start a new one. GeorgaDee guides you with new stitches and thread suggestions. $20 each session. Reservations a must! Classes are held on: 1st Saturday 9am - 11am, OR 2nd Thursday 10am - Noon, OR 4th Friday 10am - Noon, OR evenings the 1st Wednesday 5:30pm - 7:30pm.

Feather Your Nest with BIRDS!
We've found some great designs for 3-D Birds from Labors of Love Needlepoint! These are adorable birds on 18count canvas, which come with front & back, and include feathers & a clip to be used when finished so they can clip on a branch, feather tree, etc. GeorgaDee has been working out some fun fibers & stitches to enhance these feathered friends. We're offering a class every other month with a different bird, sign up for the birds of your choice, or the entire flock! We've selected 6 birds, there is a Bunting, Owl, Love Bird, and for November a newly designed Goldfinch (our Washington State bird!). Call for more information or to reserve your spot! Class fee $25, Canvas $65 each bird, & Fibers TBD for each bird. The next classes are Friday, September 16th, 10am - Noon or Saturday, September 17th 9am -11am, where we'll work on the Owl pictured. Patch Class
We have had a great deal of buzz and excitement about this piece, even before we set up the class! This piece can be a wonderful study in fibers, color, decorative stitches, design elements, the list goes on. The class is also an excellent refresher course for the long-term stitcher. There is a ton to learn in this class! Must have The Needlepoint Book by Jo Ippolito Christensen, we have them in stock and available for class.

Vladimir's Dream
By 980, Vladimir, Grand Duke of Kiev, had consolidated the Kievan realm from the Ukraine to the Baltic Sea and solidified the frontiers against incursions of Bulgarian, Baltic and Eastern nomads. Vladimir remained a pagan until insurrections troubling Byzantine motivated the emperor Basil II to seek military aid from Vladimir. Vladimir agreed, in exchange for Basil's sister Anna in marriage. A pact was reached c.987 when Vladimir also consented to the condition that he becomes a Christian. Vladimir subsequently ordered the Christian conversion of Kiev and Novgorod. The new Russian Christian worship adopted the Byzantine rite in the Old Church Slavonic language.

Vladimir's Dream was designed and created by Donald Lenox Mahan, inspired by his love of travel and history. Charted / counted needlepoint. The stitcher chooses the canvas color and selects their fibers. Design size: 8 x 10, 18 count canvas.

Instructor: Brian Shaw. $30 class fee includes stitch charts / guide. 1-session class, choose either Wednesday October 12 from 10am - 1pm or Saturday, October 15 from 10am-1pm. Canvas, threads and stretcher bars TBD by students' choice.


True Love
From Inspirations Magazine, #68, designed by Susan O'Connor of Australia. True Love, celebrates the first day of Christmas. This stunning ornament is stitched with smooth shiny silk and cotton threads using thread painting techniques on beautiful linen twill. Enhanced with tiny gold sequins & surrounded by beads.

5" diameter.
2 session class, Friday September 30, and Friday October 14, 10 am - Noon.
$25 per session class fee. Kit cost TBD.
