proprietor & teacher
After a career in the garment district in NYC and Los Angeles, Jill returned to Everett to support her mother, Clara Likes, in opening the Northwest’s only exclusive needlepoint shop. The Needlepointer opened in 1993 and when Clara retired, Jill took over day-to-day operations in 1999. For 20 years, Jill has been a leader in growing the needlepoint industry from basket weave in wool and perle cotton to thousands of stitches and hundreds of silks, metallics, beads and specialty threads. Besides running the shop, Jill enjoys spending time with her family—husband, Dan, daughter Sam, and dogs, Lucy & Eddie.
